Kawasaki Puccetti Racing is at Assen for the second round of the Superbike World Championship with its rider Lucas Mahias. In the opening round that ran two weeks ago at Motorland Aragon, the French rider had a few initial difficulties before ending the weekend with a good result in Race 2.
In The Netherlands, his aim is to place consistently inside the top ten. Today brought sun and cool temperatures at the TT Assen Circuit, with the first free practice playing out this morning. Lucas completed this opening session in thirteenth place with a time of 1’36”708. During the afternoon’s second practice, Mahias improved by more than half a second (1’36”099), retaining thirteenth place in the combined standings at the end of the day’s sessions.
Tomorrow, the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider will take part in the third free practice, before lining up for Superpole and the weekend’s first WorldSBK race during the afternoon.

“Today’s practices haven’t gone badly, but I’m not yet happy with the set-up of my bike. I’ve worked hard on the bike with my team and I improved in the afternoon, but my overall position remains the same. I must improve, and I know I can. We’re now evaluating the data collected during today’s sessions to understand exactly where to work, and I’m sure the situation will be better tomorrow. Thanks to the whole team – everyone’s working really well as always.”
