The Motorland Aragon circuit in Spain will host the tenth round of the Superbike and Supersport World Championships this coming weekend.
The previous Magny Cours round in France marked a return to competition for Can Oncu in the Supersport category. The young Turk was forced to miss five rounds after injuring his left arm during a blameless incident in race 2 at Assen. Following a long recovery period, Oncu was back on his ZX-6R and did not only manage to complete all the sessions and races, but even scored points in Sunday’s race. His goal is to continue to on the path to full fitness.
In Superbike, the team will field Tito Rabat, for whom this is a home round. After having to miss the recent French round due to a previously arranged commitment, the Spaniard is keen to harness his experience with Kawasaki Puccetti Racing and with his Ninja.
As at the Magny Cours event, Tito Rabat’s Superbike will again feature the GiVi logo, in honour of the Italian firm, a true international point of reference for motorcycle accessories. A tribute to an historic sponsor, and an opportunity to celebrate a long and fruitful collaboration.
The Ciudad del Motor de Aragón, commonly known as Motorland Aragón, is a racetrack located near to the town of Alcañiz in Spain, in the autonomic community of Aragon. The track measures 5344 metres and incorporates seventeen turns, seven of which right-handers and ten left. It was designed by renowned German architect Hermann Tilke and has staged the Superbike World Championship since 2011.

“In Supersport we will continue to focus on getting Can Oncu back to full fitness. He has continued with his rehabilitation since Magny Cours and is improving. It won’t be an easy track for him because it’s a leftie, so he’ll need to use the injured arm a lot. In Superbike I’m pleased that Rabat is back with us after having to miss the last round due to a clash. He will compete with us until the end of the season now.”
