Kawasaki WorldSSP Team – Two Productive Days of Testing at Cremona Circuit

The Kawasaki WorldSSP Team completed two days of testing at the Cremona Circuit on June 26 and 27, with both riders, Jeremy Alcoba and Dominique Aegerter, taking to the track aboard their respective Ninja ZX-6R 636 machines.

Despite scorching conditions, with track temperatures frequently exceeding 60°C, the riders and the technical staff of Manuel Puccetti’s team successfully completed the planned testing programme, which focused on evaluating new solutions and continuing the on-track development of the ZX-6R 636.

It was an intense and demanding test, but one that proved highly productive in preparation for the upcoming WorldSSP round at Donington Park, UK, from July 10–12, as well as for the tenth round of the championship, which will take place at the Lombardy circuit from September 25–27.

Manuel Puccetti

“These were two very positive test days, during which we evaluated a number of new solutions that allowed us to further improve our bike ahead of the next round at Donington Park. The weather conditions were extremely challenging, with scorching temperatures, but they also gave us the opportunity to test our ZX-6R 636 machines in extreme conditions. It was undoubtedly an excellent training session for both Jeremy and Dominique. We are ready to continue the championship.”

Jeremy Alcoba

“Overall, these two days have been very positive. I’m happy with the feeling I found with the bike. Due to the intense heat, we completed slightly fewer laps than I had expected, but we were still able to work on many small and significant aspects that will help us improve in the future. When we return here in September, the temperatures will be very different, but we have already established a solid base to build on. I’m pleased with the work we’ve done and I’m ready for the next round in the UK. A special thanks to the entire team for their tremendous effort in such difficult conditions.”

Dominique Aegerter

“These were ‘hot’ tests in every sense of the word. The track temperature reached as high as 63°C, but thanks to the excellent work of the team we were able to test several new components and work on all those areas of the bike that we simply don’t have time to evaluate or adjust during race weekends. We focused on the suspension and electronics while also working on outright lap times. It was the best possible preparation for the next round at Donington, and I’d like to thank the whole team for working so hard in such demanding conditions.”
