The WorldSBK and WorldSSP championships reach the halfway point with the upcoming sixth round at Motorland Aragon.
The Kawasaki WorldSBK Team is highly motivated after the latest rounds in Eastern Europe, which brought excellent results for Garrett Gerloff and his squad. That performance might be hard to replicate at Motorland, a very different track, but recent tests at Misano World Circuit have further boosted the performance of the American rider’s Ninja ZX-10RR, with Gerloff keen to consolidate his place towards the top of the timesheets.
Jeremy Alcoba and Dominique Aegerter continue to make progress, particularly in the races. The two riders know Aragon well and will be eager to unleash the full potential of the Ninja ZX-6R 636. This is also a home round for Jeremy, who will be able to count on the support of family and fans.
Once the race weekend concludes, Manuel Puccetti’s teams will remain at the track for a two-day Michelin tyre test.
MotorLand Aragón is the “City of Motors” complex. Located in Alcañiz, it hosts the Aragón Motorcycle Grand Prix for the MotoGP and Superbike World Championships. The venue covers a large area dedicated to motorsports and is divided into three sections: a sporting area, a recreational and cultural area, and a research area. The sporting section includes the main circuit, a karting track, and several layouts for different racing disciplines. In addition to official competitions, the complex also stages amateur races, professional events, and educational activities. The cultural and recreational section features leisure facilities, a sports training centre, and exhibition spaces. Meanwhile, the research area contains a technology park that is home to numerous companies involved in motor-related technologies. In the configuration used for WorldSBK, the circuit measures 5.077 kilometres and features 17 corners, namely seven right-hand turns and ten left-hand turns.

Manuel Puccetti
“Aragón comes on the back of an especially demanding and intense period of activity for us all, riders and technicians. After the two Eastern European rounds, we had a very positive SBK test at Misano that will help Gerloff to be even more competitive. Now we head into the Motorland round, where the goal is to continue the positive trend that has seen us fighting at the front in Superbike, and consistently improving in Supersport. Our work will then continue into next week, as we’ll stay at the Spanish track for a two-day Michelin test.”
Garrett Gerloff
“I really like the Motorland Aragon track, and I’ve scored podiums there in the past. It’s a track that suits some bikes and others less so, so I hope our updated Ninja ZX-10RR is competitive. After the recent tests at the Misano World Circuit, I’m confident I can do well in this sixth round, in Spain. I’ll give it my all, along with my team, to confirm my position near the top of the standings.”
Jeremy Alcoba
“Aragon is my home round and so my family and friends will be there to support me. I’m really pleased and determined to do well. Last year, I qualified well but then struggled in the races. I don’t want to make any predictions, because the races have all been very different to last year’s so far. I really like the track and am sure that, if we can take a step forward and improve the setup of the bike, I’ll be able to score strong results. Rest assured I’ll be giving more than 100% for all my supporters and for the team.”
Dominique Aegerter
“I like the Aragon track even though it’s not an easy one to interpret, with blind bends and some ups and downs that break your rhythm. I’m ready for this sixth round, and both me and the team are determined to improve certain aspects and find good feeling with the bike right away, so that we can do well in Superpole. The Supersport races are difficult and we’re all very close, but I think we have to chance to finish top ten.”
