Round four at home track Cremona!

The Cremona Circuit is all set to host the fourth WorldSBK and WorldSSP round.

For the Kawasaki WorldSBK and WorldSSP Teams it’s a home round, and a great opportunity to meet with sponsors and supporters in the paddock.

This weekend, the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing bikes take to the track with the historic ELF livery. Iconic graphics that celebrate the partnership between Total Italia and Kawasaki WorldSBK and that have featured at every Italian WorldSBK round for the last eight years. Confirmation of a strong and long-lasting professional relationship, which is a point of pride for both parties.

The team’s technicians have made the most of the time since the Assen round to work on Garrett Gerloff’s Ninja ZX-10RR, based on the data collected and feedback from the Texan rider, who remains determined to achieve the kind of results that he and the team

At the latest Dutch round, Jeremy Alcoba confirmed both his own competitiveness and that of the updated ZX-6R. In Italy, the Spaniard will try to that final step that would allow him to reach the podium.

The Cremona Circuit is located in San Martino del Lago, in the province of Cremona. The construction work began in 2011, with the financial backing of eight entrepreneurs. The track initially measured 3450 metres in length and comprised a long straight and eleven turns. It was officially inaugurated on 7 July 2012 and two years later it hosted its first international event, the Supermoto World Championship. A project to modernise the circuit and improve its infrastructure began in January 2021, with roughly 90% of the original layout revised, based on a design by architect Jarno Zaffelli. Negotiations with Dorna Sports to bring WorldSBK to Cremona for five years began in 2023 and the following year the Italian track made its first appearance on the production-derived calendar.

The track is now 3.768 km long and runs in an anticlockwise direction. The main straight, running in front of the garages, measures 885 metres in length and the track comprises 13 turns in all, six of which right-handers and seven left. The track width varies between 12 and 14 metres, with a maximum transverse slope of 5%.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal

“We’re happy and excited to head back to Cremona Circuit. It will be an opportunity to meet with our sponsors and supporters and demonstrate the progress we’ve made not only over the previous three rounds but also as a result of the work the team’s been doing in the last few weeks back at base. Just they’ve done at every Italian round over the last eight years, our bikes will again feature the ELF graphics at Cremona, in celebration of our collaboration with Total Italia, a partnership of which we are particularly proud.”

Garrett Gerloff

“I’m happy to be able to race at Cremona Circuit, a track where I reached the top five last year. I hope I can achieve a strong result again this time and am more motivated than ever to see the Kawasaki WorldSBK Team do well in front of its fans, during what is a home round for our team.”

Jeremy Alcoba

“I don’t know the Cremona track but I’ll do all I can to learn it as quickly as possible so we can have a good qualifying session and not compromise the races. We continue to improve and have the potential to fight at the front. It would be wonderful to score a good result at Cremona, which represents a home round for the team.”
