Misano tests confirm progress made by Rabat and his Ninja

Kawasaki Puccetti Racing has now concluded a two-day test with its Superbike rider Tito Rabat at the Misano World Circuit. All the key WorldSBK teams were in action at the Italian track this week. These were important sessions for Manuel Puccetti’s team, which confirmed the progress already seen during recent tests at the Cremona Circuit.

On Thursday, the Spaniard finished in eleventh position, with a best time of 1’34”105, while today Tito was able to do more, setting the tenth quickest time of the day (1’33”856).

The Kawasaki Puccetti Racing technical staff focused on the setup of the Ninja ZX-10RR KRT Factory Replica, allowing Rabat to significantly close the gap that separated him from the frontrunners and lap consistently inside the top ten.

Tito Rabat will be back at the Misano World Circuit over the weekend of 14-16 June, for round four of the WorldSBK championship.

Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal

“Overall, these four test days at Cremona and Misano have been very positive, particularly for our Superbike team. Rabat has been consistently quick, running inside the top ten and ever closer to the fastest riders. We’ve worked hard on our Ninja ZX-10RR KRT Factory Replica and the results have rewarded both rider and team. We’ve taken big steps forward with respect to the Assen round, where we experienced some difficulties. These tests leave us even more optimistic for the rest of the championship.”

Tito Rabat

“These tests were very important for us and the results here at Misano have confirmed the progress we’d already seen at Cremona. I’m really pleased with how we’ve worked and with the progress we’ve made. Over a race weekend, there’s very little time to find a good setup and the right feeling with the bike, while these tests have allowed is to finally concentrate on setup. I was increasingly quick, not far from the fastest guys, so we need to continue like this if we want to do well at our next home round at Misano.”
