The Kawasaki WorldSSP Team and rider Jeremy Alcoba have completed two days of testing at the Jerez Circuit in Spain. This was also a first outing for the 2025 version of the Ninja ZX-6R, complete with 636 cc engine.
At the end of two very busy days, in which the Spanish rider completed 121 laps, the feeling is positive. Jeremy is not yet back to full fitness but is not far off it, the bike responded perfectly to the team’s technical interventions and the entire squad worked well together.
On day one Alcoba set a best time of 1’44”632, while on the following day the Spaniard was able to improve by almost a full second, putting in a fastest time of 1’43”811.
The team and rider will return to the track on 27-28 January for another two-day test at the Autodromo do Algarve in Portimao, Portugal.
Manuel Puccetti
“Two constructive days. It was important to start working on our new ZX-6R with Jeremy because we have a great deal to do. At the end of the test, the final balance is without doubt positive, both in terms of our rider, who completed more than 120 laps without any physical difficulties, and the bike, which has proved competitive and still offers significant room for improvement. A few days rest now and then we’ll get back to work at Portimao.”

“I’m pleased to be back on a bike after almost two months. I’m not yet 100% but I’m very happy with my physical condition. My initial sensations aboard the ZX-6R were definitely positive. I won’t deny the first day was quite difficult, as everything was new and I had thousands of things to learn, but day two went a lot better and the lap times improved too, though the temperatures weren’t ideal, and the wind bothered me a bit too. In general, I’m pleased with the way I’ve started my work with Kawasaki, and I can’t wait to get back on my Ninja at Portimao.”
