Garrett Gerloff (Kawasaki Puccetti Racing) experienced his first taste of the official Ninja ZX-10RR he will compete with in the 2025 FIM Superbike World Championship during a two day test at Jerez in Spain, between 22-23 October.
Kawasaki Puccetti Racing will take on the welcome responsibility of being the official Ninja ZX-10RR Kawasaki team in WorldSBK next season. The work of rider and team in this new role for both began just two days after the end of the previous season, and at the same venue of the final round, Jerez.
Gerloff rode on both test days and seemed immediately at ease on his machine, posting fast times and ending the test in competitive fashion.
In something of a dream start in their new role Gerloff ended the test as the fourth fastest rider overall, with a best lap time of 1’39.229 set on the second day.
Manuel Puccetti, Team Principal
“We are very happy about these first two days testing in Jerez. Garrett did a good job, set a lot of laps in two days, and finished very well. His race pace with a race tyre fitted was very fast. We have to work in some areas but in general we are very happy about our approach and working together with Garrett. We tested some updates on the bike today and it worked out very well. We will do more tests in one month and continue our work.”
