Kawasaki WorldSBK Team rider Garrett Gerloff left Cremona with a strong points score in Race Two thanks to a weekend of gradual improvements in machine set-up and overall pace.
The Cremona Circuit hosted the final two WorldSBK races of the fourth round on Sunday 4 May, with the team’s American rider Garrett Gerloff finishing each race and equalling his best race result of the season – 12th – on his Ninja ZX-10RR in Race Two.
The ten lap WorldSBK Superpole Race was run in warm but overcast conditions, with Garrett finishing in 15th place. Having been 18th on lap one Gerloff progressed through the field in what were relatively cool track conditions compared to those experienced earlier in the race weekend.
Race Two, the second and final 23-lap race at the 3.768km long Cremona Circuit, proved to be a weekend high point for Garrett and his Italian-based team.
With a better set-up on his machine Garrett was able to battle with other riders, eventually securing 12th place. This equalled his best two individual race results so far in what is his first season riding for Kawasaki in WorldSBK.
Garrett is 17th in the overall WorldSBK standings, with 19 points in total. He is just three points from the rider in front after one third of the season has now been completed.
The fifth round of the 2025 season will take place at the Autodromo Most in the Czech Republic, between 16-18 May.

“It was a really good final day at Cremona in the end. We are still far back from where we would like to be, but at the very least, we are racing with other guys and making passes. I am there more than in the last couple of races. We are making progress, but it is not showing 100% in the results yet – but we are making progress. I am happy today and thanks to the team for all the hard work. I am looking forward to some time off, and then we will be back at Most soon.”
