Kawasaki Puccetti Racing and rider Can Oncu are competing in the third WorldSSP round at the TT Circuit Assen in The Netherlands. After a month’s break, Manuel Puccetti’s team is back on track, ready to confirm the excellent results scored at the previous Australian and Indonesian rounds, where Oncu scored his first World Supersport win.
This morning, in cool and windy conditions and with temperatures of around 15°C, the young Turk took part in the first free practice and was immediately one of the fastest riders on track. With a time of 1’38”857, Can finished in fifth place.
In the second session that took place in the afternoon, Oncu improved on his earlier reference by 1.3 seconds. With a time of 1’37”591, he was the fastest of all and finished in first place in the day’s combined practice results. An excellent performance that augers well for tomorrow’s qualifying and race, when the Kawasaki Puccetti Racing rider will lint up for the third Superpole of the season followed by the first race of this Dutch round.

This morning, we worked hard to adapt the bike to this track and this afternoon I was able to improve on my lap time and finish first overall.
