At Estoril in Portugal for the penultimate WorldSBK and WorldSSP rounds

The Kawasaki WorldSBK Team is in Portugal, at the Autodromo do Estoril, for the eleventh WorldSBK and WorldSSP rounds.

A little less than two weeks since the last races at Motorland Aragon, Garrett Gerloff and Jeremy Alcoba are ready to get back on their bikes for the final phase of the 2025 season. Results were mixed at the previous Spanish rounds but nevertheless confirmed the growth path of both riders. In Portugal Gerloff will be aiming for another top ten after identifying the best setup for his Ninja ZX-10RR. Alcoba has proved worthy of a top three finish on many occasions and will be going all out to power the Kawasaki to what would be a first podium for the ZX-6R 636.

The Estoril Circuit is a car and motorcycle racing circuit located in the Alcabideche area, in the municipality of Cascais. The circuit was constructed in 1972 thanks to entrepreneur Fernanda Pires da Silva and is located roughly 9 km from the city of Estoril.  It was the largest motorsport circuit in Portugal prior to the opening of the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, inaugurated in 2008. Estoril Circuit measures 4.360 kilometres and comprises 13 turns.

Manuel Puccetti

“The Estoril Circuit has been good to us in the past – we won at the track in 2020 – so I hope we can achieve important results again this time, also because the track should suit the characteristics of our bikes. In Superbike, we’ll work to achieve positive results that would confirm all the hard work that Gerloff and our team are putting in. As for Supersport, we know the podium is getting ever closer and hope we can get there with Alcoba during these last races of the season.”

Jeremy Alcoba

“I haven’t raced at Estoril for eight years, but I like the track. The weather can be a factor because it can go from rain to muggy heat. At the last Motorland round, we started well before finishing with a few difficulties, but in Portugal I want to start strong and end the weekend just as strong, perhaps with a nice podium! The team and I will do our best, as ever”.

Garrett Gerloff

“I like the Estoril track because it’s technical with a good mix of slow and fast turns. I took good results last year and will do all I can to repeat that this time. We didn’t get what we deserved in Spain, and I can’t wait to work with the team and get back on my Ninja to make up for that and finish this championship in the best possible way.”
