The fourth WorldSSP round has drawn to a close at Italy’s Cremona Circuit. Friday and Saturday saw rider Jeremy Alcoba on track for free practice, Superpole, and Race 1, in which he finished thirteenth and scored three championship points. Today, in hot, sunny conditions, the Spaniard was back out for Race 2, lining up on the sixth row of the grid, sixteenth, based on his best lap time set in Saturday’s race.
Despite his starting position, Jeremy put together a strong race, recovering well to cross the line eighth. This gave him another eight points, the rider now lying seventh in the standings with a points tally of 60.
The next WorldSSP round will run at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic on 16-18 May.

“Cremona is done and dusted, and the second race was really good. We need to improve the start because that’s a weak point for us. But I am happy because yesterday the team did a really good job to be ready for today. The feeling was much better and the pace was really good. I feel more comfortable and was able to ride smoothly throughout the race. On Saturday we struggled a lot in the last part of the race with the rear tyre, while today I tried to manage that. I am happy because on the first lap I was lying seventeenth and came back to finish P8. The pace was really good and maybe we could have fougth to be top six today. We need to improve in some areas, but I am really happy and feeling comfortable, so thanks to the team and see you at the next one.”
