During testing taking place at the Jerez Circuit in Spain, the two factory Kawasaki teams were presented to the media in attendance at the Andalusian track.
The entire WorldSBK squad with rider Garrett Gerloff and the WorldSSP team, with reconfirmed Jeremy Alcoba and a new entry in the shape of two-time Supersport world champion and MotoE world champion, Dominique Aegerter, will participate in this week’s Jerez tests and the subsequent Portimao sessions. These tests will allow them to prepare for the 2026 season, which will get underway in Australia on the weekend of 20-22 February, following two official test days at the same Australian track on 16-17 February.
Garrett Gerloff will be riding the Ninja ZX-10RR in its 2026 configuration, complete with new aerodynamics and an advanced engine and electronics, while Alcoba and Aegerter are tasked with exploiting the potential of the Ninja ZX-6R 636, which was already capable of powering the Spaniard to the podium at the end of last season, at both Estoril and Jerez.
Morale is high among the team members, as is their determination to give it their all, score the best possible results, and paint the two world championship podiums green.
Note. The bike graphics seen in the images reflect those of the 2026 lime green livery option for the Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-6R 636 production bikes
Manuel Puccetti – Team Principal
“We’ve worked tirelessly over the winter on every little detail. We tested in November and are now here at Jerez and Portimao, because we want to be properly prepared for the first round in Australia and start the championship in the best possible way. Aegerter and Alcoba have also had chance to carry out tests in the wind tunnel, to improve their aerodynamics. Our aim for 2026 is to be regular podium contenders in Supersport and place as high in the standings as possible in Superbike, which I’m sure we can do thanks to the combined efforts of our team and Kawasaki.”
Garrett Gerloff
“The team and I are excited and keen to start this 2026 championship. We’ve changed a lot in terms of both the bike and the team, and I’m pleased to be able to work with a new crew chief, whom I’ve already collaborated with in the past, achieving strong results. The other technicians remain the same and this is important, giving continuity to our work. The tests we’re conducting are important to ensure we head to Australia in the best possible condition and can start the season positively – I have high expectations.”
Jeremy Alcoba
“I want to start the 2026 season in the same way we finished 2025 – on the podium. We have the speed and the potential to be able to do it. The team has worked hard and I feel well prepared. I’m a little nervous if I think about the first races in Australia, but this is positive because it means I’m psyched to just the right point. Our goal is to fight for the podium in every race, and we have everything we need to be able to aim high.”
Dominique Aegerter
“I’m pleased to take on this new season with the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team. The tests are very important if we want to be ready for round one at Phillip Island, and I can’t wait to get there. My goal is to build confidence and get back to winning after some difficult seasons. I’m highly motivated and ready to give 110%, and I know I can aim for strong results with the support of such a fantastic team.”
